Discover your leadership style while exploring the Himalaya

Immerse yourself in a unique landscape and culture while exploring the soaring mountains of the Himalaya. Make your way through India’s Kumaon and Eastern Garhwal regions on foot, backpacking up high mountain passes up to 15,000 feet above sea level. Practice your conversational Hindi with local residents while visiting teahouses nestled in lush valleys. Learn about the region’s ecology and traditional farming techniques as you travel through remote villages.

Whether you’re an experienced backpacker or new to camping, you’ll find room to grow in a challenging environment with the support of your team. You’ll practice map reading and Leave No Trace camping while following historical trade routes between India and Tibet. As you navigate an new culture and terrain, you’ll also hone your leadership skills. Each day on the trail will offer fresh opportunities for real-world experience in communication, teamwork, and decision making. As you tackle challenges in the mountains, you’ll develop your leadership style and learn to effectively take on different roles within a group.

This expedition will help you gain confidence in your outdoor skills, leadership abilities, and cultural awareness as an international traveler. You’ll leave the Himalaya with lasting memories—and the skills to lead wherever your next adventure takes you.
