JOB TITLE: Wilderness Medicine Talent Acquisition Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Wilderness Medicine Talent Acquisition Manager
JOB OBJECTIVE: This mid-level position supports the functions and goals of the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Faculty Development team within the Wilderness Medicine Staffing Office. This position will assist in the organizational and logistical planning needed to recruit, assess, on-board and train new and future NOLS Wilderness Medicine Faculty.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A firm understanding of the NOLS Wilderness Medicine mission and the ability to represent all aspects of NOLS to a broad variety of audiences.
- Must have experience communicating with and investing in individuals from a variety of backgrounds representing distinct stakeholder groups.
- Must have coaching and mentorship experience. Needs to be creative, flexible and organized.
- Required skills include a background in systems thinking, a growth mindset, and computer literacy (database use, email capabilities, a working knowledge of Excel, as well as CRM-based software etc).
- Experience teaching for NOLS Wilderness Medicine is preferred, but not required
LEADERSHIP OR SUPERVISORY DUTIES: The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will coach potential and new faculty through the systems designed to support their candidacy, development, initial training, and onboarding. Be the main point of contact with Instructor Training Course (ITC) applicants. Coordinate the processes by which the Talent Acquisition team tracks recruitment-focused interactions, fosters relationships and partnerships, and disperses training funds
FUNDS AND/OR PROPERTY: Assist in management and administration of both Instructor Development and Recruitment Funds
RESPONSIBILITIES:
40% Candidate selection: Initial Training, and Onboarding: Manage the day-to-day customer service needs of our Instructor Training Course inbox. Set the tone and structure for the Instructor Training Course applicant, candidate, and new instructor systems. Coach Instructor Training Course candidates in identified resources for skill development. Supports the Talent Acquisition Manager in implementing the onboarding and initial training process from approximately 30 faculty annually.
30% Early career development: Facilitate the structure by which Wilderness Medicine Staffing will track, correspond with, and develop recent Instructor Training Course graduates: Supports initial faculty training by reading instructor evaluations and tracking performance over time.
20% Recruitment: Supports the Talent Acquisition Manager in implementing recruitment strategy. Facilitates and leverages CRM tools used to track interactions and correspondence with individuals and partner organizations to support our recruitment goals.
10% Various responsibilities as assigned: Supports the goals and objectives of the development department as we usher in new software, systems and strategies.

WORK LOCATION AND CONDITIONS: This position could be remote and would require occasional extended visits to Lander, WY annually to align with key department responsibilities. Options for remote work are limited to the following U.S. states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado , Idaho, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, New York, New Mexico, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. We can also support an employee in any other country where NOLS has a campus.
