JOB TITLE: Mail Center Clerk
REPORTS TO: Purchasing Manager
JOB OBJECTIVE: Process incoming and outgoing USPS, Fedex, UPS, and freight shipments. Manage copy and print projects. Maintain supply inventories.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a good working knowledge of Mac and Windows operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office and Google apps. Experience with general office equipment. Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in an active environment with frequent interruptions. Ability to lift up to 50lbs is required. Ability to work independently and with a team. Must have a driver’s license and clean driving record.
LEADERSHIP OR SUPERVISORY DUTIES: This position has no direct supervisees at this time.
FUNDS AND/OR PROPERTY: Care for computer equipment, postage machine, printers, and copier. Balance postage deposits up to $500. Maintain petty cash.
70% - Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages. Prepare outgoing mail and packages, domestic & international, using various carriers. Includes daily catalog and financial mailings. Educate and train co-workers on mailing procedures.
20% - Manage copy & print projects, including weekly Wilderness Medicine course folders and sticker packs. Educate and train co-workers on proper copier use.
5% - Maintain and stock shipping, office, & kitchen supply inventories. Work with purchasing staff to reorder as needed. Complete receiving paperwork.
5% - Other tasks as assigned.
