JOB TITLE: Mail Center Clerk

REPORTS TO: Purchasing Manager

JOB OBJECTIVE: Process incoming and outgoing USPS, Fedex, UPS, and freight shipments. Manage copy and print projects. Maintain supply inventories.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Must have a good working knowledge of Mac and Windows operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office and Google apps.
  • Experience with general office equipment. 
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an active environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs is required. Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Must have a driver’s license and clean driving record.


LEADERSHIP OR SUPERVISORY DUTIES: This position has no direct supervisees at this time.

FUNDS AND/OR PROPERTY: Care for computer equipment, postage machine, printers, and copier. Balance postage deposits up to $500. Maintain petty cash.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

70% - Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages. Prepare outgoing mail and packages, domestic & international, using various carriers. Includes daily catalog and financial mailings.  Educate and train co-workers on mailing procedures. 

20% - Manage copy & print projects, including weekly Wilderness Medicine course folders and sticker packs. Educate and train co-workers on proper copier use. 

5% - Maintain and stock shipping, office, & kitchen supply inventories. Work with purchasing staff to reorder as needed. Complete receiving paperwork.

5% - Other tasks as assigned.
