Job Title: HR Coordinator 

Reports to:  HR Director

A successful HR Coordinator will love creating order out of chaos, and making sure our systems are accurate and up-to-date. Self-starter that works proactively and is comfortable with working autonomously
Results-oriented with high attention to detail, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Have high emotional intelligence, especially when handling confidential or sensitive information
Have a passion for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, as well as the humility to know there is always more to learn
Have an interest in understanding HR systems and the flow of information 
Have the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization; skilled at listening, learning, and synthesizing information to form a creative resolution; possess the professionalism and grace to advocate your ideas and opinions
Understand the significance of system and data accuracy
Enjoy helping others while maintaining a customer service approach and positive attitude
Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Experience:
1+ years in an HR Coordinator (or related) role
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Comfortable with working on a hybrid team


Leadership or Supervisory Duties: Must be able to prioritize daily job 
tasks and recognize when additional support is needed.
 

Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition 
Following the implementation of a HRIS, you will be responsible for owning outreach, scheduling, and correspondence for applicants; over time and with growth, you will learn to own full-cycle recruiting responsibilities including screening, interviewing, and contributing to decision making at all steps
Following the implementation of a HRIS, you will cultivate a positive candidate experience from application to on-boarding, including timely communication and a warm presence; once a candidate becomes a team member, you will continue engendering a strong relationship and providing an open-door for all things People-related
Maintain job descriptions; including development and updates


Culture
Advocate for and understand elements of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; you will integrate this thinking into the culture & drive thinking and processes that will hold us accountable to these commitments 
Coordinate rewards and recognition for employees throughout their journey
Support the planning and execution of a wide array of culture events


Operations 
Represent the HR team as a main respondent to inbound HR-related inquiries and direct inquiries to the appropriate resource for support/resolution 
Contribute to the development, training, and implementation of policies, benefits, and the employee handbook
Assist with the implementation of new HR systems and integrations
Coordinate critical HR processes, such as promotions, compensation changes, performance reviews, and benefits changes
Assist with the onboarding and offboarding processes
Provide administrative support for the team related to project management
Maintain positive working relationships with cross-functional teams as necessary, including Finance, Risk, Program Operations, and Information Systems (IS)
Data
Maintain HR data integrity by updating, analyzing, and conducting audits to ensure our system is a source of truth
Process employee changes in HR systems
Generate reports that support the bigger People picture for department planning, company insights, and executive consideration

Motor Vehicle Record: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age by the position start date and possess a valid driver’s license. Must have a clean driving history and be able to meet the criteria for NOLS vehicle insurance coverage. 

COVID-19 Vaccine Policy:  All employees that work at NOLS facilities and who have regular contact with other employees and or students are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they meet a medical, disability or religion exemption and a reasonable accommodation is approved. Any COVID-19 vaccine approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) is an acceptable vaccine for the purpose of this policy. Full vaccination or an approved exemption is a condition of employment for all new employees. Employees that work remotely and do not have contact with other employees and or students are not required to be vaccinated or have an approved exemption.
Work Location:  NOLS world headquarters; Lander, Wyoming. Residents of Colorado, Utah, California, Washington, Idaho, and Montana are encouraged to apply, as remote work is an option (up to 10% travel required). 

The starting pay range for this position is $33,696, dependent on experience. Other benefits include: 403 B, 403 B contribution after one year, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Flexible Spending account, Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance, Long Term Disability, Employee Assistance Program, Paid Time off.
