JOB TITLE: Human Resources Administrative Assistant
 
REPORTS TO:  Human Resource and Diversity Director
 
JOB OBJECTIVE: Provide organizational and administrative support to the Human Resources and Field Staffing departments.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires strong organizational and administrative skills. Most possess the ability to work independently, organize multiple duties, be detailed-oriented, prioritize workload, and plan effectively. Excellent computer skills, preferably including MAC OS, Word documents, and spreadsheets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. The ability to handle sensitive communications with integrity is essential. The ability to analyze and problem solve in order to streamline tasks is required. 

LEADERSHIP OR SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Must be able to prioritize daily job tasks and recognize when additional support is needed. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
70% - Responsible for accurately maintaining current and past personnel information, including levels and history lists; new employee and termination paperwork and monthly data reports. Processes motor vehicle records, I-9s, criminal background checks, and employment contracts. Tracks faculty certifications and enters data into the NOLS database. Creates rosters for workshops and seminars. Responsible for answering the staffing 800 number and responding to personal inquires.
 
15% - Set up and maintain all employee files, both field instructor and in-town. File all human resources paperwork. Responsible for insuring the copiers and fax machines are stocked and in working order. Deliver and retrieve mail from mailroom.

10% - Responsible for enrolling employees on health, dental, and vision benefit plans; does benefit orientations.  
 
5% - Other duties as assigned.
