FileMaker Pro Business Analyst and Developer
Software Engineer Manager
To understand and internalize the business practices that use FileMaker Pro as well as to support, maintain, and refine FileMaker Pro use within NOLS.
LEADERSHIP OR SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
Leadership in this position will primarily be self-leadership.
FUNDS AND/OR PROPERTY:
Will participate in the decisions to purchase software development related assets and make recommendations for consulting engagements where appropriate.
Work with internal stakeholders and third party contractors to identify and prioritize issues and maintenance tasks and when possible perform the FileMaker Pro development work.
Develop a deep understanding of the business practices served by FileMaker Pro and continuously strive to learn through both self guided and team interactions.
Understand the systems integrated with Filemaker Pro (Core NOLS Database, Content Management System, Email systems, Canvas Learning Management System) to support and maintain these processes.
Serve as point person for initial testing of third party delivered software (test and provide feedback as appropriate).
Master the deployment methodology for FileMaker Pro in the NOLS environment.
Deliver tested, quality software products on schedule and maintain communication with internal stakeholders
Adhere to NOLS coding standards and development, test, and deployment processes. Participate in review of other engineer’s code.
Work with project stakeholders to define project requirements and with stakeholders and technical lead to balance feature requests and schedule.
Collaborate with and direct stakeholders in beta testing and to reach agreement on product acceptance.
Work interdepartmentally within NOLS Rocky Mountain management team to coordinate individual and location needs, schedules, challenges and training.
