Characterized by rugged, glacier-carved mountains and phenomenal fly fishing, the Wind River Range is the perfect setting to reflect and recharge. In this high-altitude country you will travel through valleys surrounded by towering granite peaks, patches of perennial snow, and glistening alpine lakes. Amid this natural majesty you will encounter new and challenging circumstances and as you build your competence and confidence in outdoor skills, you will explore new approaches to leadership.
This 5-day expedition is designed for Independent School Leaders to collaborate with peers in a challenging and adventurous learning model. On this expedition you will encounter challenges that mirror those in your secondary school leadership teams -- communicating with your team effectively, collaborating to problem solve, impacting positive influence, and thinking strategically. Without the distractions of modern conveniences, you and your peers will share perspectives, leadership best practices, and teamwork tactics as you explore the vast wilderness of the Wind River range.
Following this expedition, you will return to your school equipped with a broader perspective of transferable skills and stories for greater leadership effectiveness.
