eff Jackson is a Professor and Coordinator with Algonquin College’s Outdoor Adventure Program, a professional adventure guide-training diploma in Canada. He has worked as a guide, educator and program manager for since 1988, crossing a variety of disciplines, activities and corporate cultures. His graduate research examined using case studies to build judgment. Work experience includes course leading and management positions commercial outfitters, Outward Bound and NOLS. His current position at Algonquin College sees him managing almost 9,000 student field days per semester, almost all of which is contracted through third party providers. His program has won an award from the provincial Ministry of Education for private / public partnerships in education.
