ngus Murray currently teaches Outdoor Pursuits at Shawnigan Lake School in British Columbia. He was the Director of Outdoor Education at Strathcona - Tweedsmuir School in Calgary for two years before moving to Shawnigan Lake and the Head of Outdoor Education at Rosseau Lake College for 5 years in Ontario prior to moving to Calgary. Angus has extensive experience working with youth in a variety of outdoor settings over the last 20 years. He has traveled with students from coast to coast to coast in Canada and lead overseas expeditions in South America, Africa, Mexico and Europe. In the 1990’s Angus worked for Outward Bound Canada as an instructor, manager and as the Program Director.
Angus was instrumental in starting up the Canadian Network of Outdoor Educators at Independent Schools (C@NOEIS), and was one of the Network’s first co-chairs. He looks forward to seeing Linda Leckie, the current chair, and other colleagues at the Canadian focused reception on Thursday evening. He has a Bachelor of Outdoor and Experiential Education form Queen’s University.
