Linda Lindsey and Tod Schimelpfenig

Tod Schimelpfenig is the past NOLS management director at NOLS, founder of the wilderness risk managers committee, advisor to the Wilderness Medicine Institute and current NOLS Rocky Mountain director. An EMT for 25 years, he has gained extensive experience in search and rescue and ambulance work. In 1990, he was named Wyoming EMT Instructor of the Year. Tod has been a NOLS instructor for 25 years. He teaches NOLS' Wilderness EMT and Wilderness First Responder courses and serves as a critical stress debriefer.

Linda Lindsey, RN, BSN, EMT, is NOLS human resources director and a board member of the Wilderness Medical Society. She is the former coordinator of the Colorado Outward Bound first aid program and has five years' experience as a staff nurse in obstetrics and neonatal intensive care.
