Why not complete your leadership training in an
area where you may be managing a fire operation some day? The NOLS
L-380 course will take your course backpacking through terrain similar to where your organization currently manages fire. We can deliver our L-380 training in any backcountry location in the United States.
Trainees will hike cross-country for 6.5 days while exploring group dynamics and practicing fire leadership values and principles. You will take on increasing levels of personal and team responsibility for the technical, navigational and interpersonal aspects of the traveling course. Instructors provide structured briefing, after action reviews, leadership feedback, technical expertise, risk management, evaluation, classes and overall structure for participant leadership opportunities.
