NOLS Website Update
With an average of 600 catalog requests and 40 percent
of all received applications online per week, the time has
come to update the NOLS website. The successful launch of
the new site occurred on Feb 11. NOLS worked in conjunction
with Cincinnati-based Idiotech to complete the redesign.
The new NOLS website is an up to date tool
for administrators, employees and students.
A new tab navigation style makes it easier for prospective
students to find current
information on courses. Photo galleries and
a new feature — quotes
from NOLS students and staff called 'thoughts from the field' — are
all new features available on the site. And an expanded
version of the NOLS course finder allows prospective students
to search for a course by location, skill area, age, duration
and starting date.
Other features include a comprehensive online
store offering NOLS merchandise, including
clothing, gear, and the NOLS library of books,
and online access to current
NOLS field research. Visitors to the site
will also find easier access to articles and images
from the
school's alumni
publication, The Leader.
Idiotech, the company that designed and launched
the new site, has recently done work for
the eBay University website, which introduced
groups to the
processes of buying
and selling online, the Cincinnati Ballet
and the Cincinnati Art Association. To

website at www.idiotech.com.
