Veteran Benefits at NOLS

What NOLS teaches cannot be learned in a classroom or on a city street. It takes practice to learn outdoor skills and time to develop leadership. The wilderness provides the ideal setting for this unique education.

Our hands on, learn-by-doing approach means that our graduates get the skills they need to be competent, responsible wilderness travelers long after their course is over.

Veteran Benefits at NOLS

NOLS is pleased to be approved for Veterans Benefits according to the Title 38, United States Code. Your GI Bill can cover up to 80% of the total cost of your NOLS course, depending on your benefit eligibility.

Every student using their GI Bill to help pay for their NOLS course will be responsible for a minimum of 20% of the total cost listed for their course (room and board), plus the equipment deposit, out of pocket prior to their course start date.

Only select courses based out of Wyoming are eligible for approval through the VA (see below.)
