This backcountry climbing expedition is a comprehensive immersion into the sport of traditional (“trad”) rock climbing.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of climbing as well as backcountry living and travel skills amidst some of Wyoming’s famous sheer granite walls and towering spires.
Your instructors will emphasize skills such as movement on rock, rope systems, anchors, rappelling and belaying, protection placement, risk management, and lead climbing philosophy.
You’ll have ample opportunity to practice your climbing skills as you develop a strong foundation in wilderness ethics away from the frontcountry crags.
With a student to instructor ratio of 4:1, you’ll get the personal attention necessary to develop your climbing and backcountry skills rapidly.
