Pat Mettenbrink, Program Supervisor
Pat has been with NOLS
since 1998 and with NOLS Southwest as a Program Supervisor since Fall 2004. Even though Pat has instructed in the Southwest, Mexico,
Patagonia, Alaska, the Rocky Mountains, and the Pacific Northwest, he says his
favorite place is “anywhere he can have morning coffee and a newspaper.” Pat’s
favorite outdoor activity is mountaineering in Alaska because of its remoteness,
beauty, and challenge. He loves caves, sports, and Mexican food, can’t
stand mimes, and is learning to embrace technology.
