Alumni Seminars

We offer one- to five-day seminars for grads, their friends, and family.

Seminars focus on specific technical skill instruction—such as sailing, climbing or paddling—and re-connect alumni with the school. Seminars also emphasize safety, judgment, wilderness ethics, leadership and fun. Class size varies from eight to twenty persons. Often we conduct seminars in conjunction with area reunions. If you are interested in having a seminar in your area, contact the alumni office.

NOLS Chicago Area Kayak Seminar

Beat the heat and get out on the water. Spend the day with other area NOLS grads. These one day seminars will give you the skills and confidence you need to get out on the water and start paddling on your own or improve the skills you already have. Safety, paddling, and rescue skills will all be covered.

This seminar is for all skill levels, so invite your friends to join you.

Dates: July 27th or 28th

Time: 10:00 am – 4 pm each day

Cost: $90.00, includes lunch, gear, and instruction
