NOLS New York City Alumni Chapter
What is NOLS NYC?
Mission: NOLS-NYC promotes the ideals of the National
Outdoor Leadership School and develops an association of people
dedicated to leadership, the wilderness experience, and the
environment within our urban community. This mission is achieved
through a variety of activities, including social events, service
opportunties, and fundraising efforts.
The loose-knit chapter brings people together for a wide range of outdoor activities including
climbing hiking, kayaking, camping, skiing, biking, fishing and more. NOLS
NYC also uses it's energy and leadership talents by serving the community through
various charities, community service initiatives, clean-ups, fund-raising,
etc. Lastly, NOLS NYC initiates various social/educational events such as
film festivals, lectures and our Annual Reunion at Patagonia SoHo to promote
fellowship among alumni and to help further the NOLS mission.
Stay tuned to this group through our two local electronic list
services.
