What is the NOLS India Alumni Chapter?

The NOLS India Alumni chapter is an informal, developing-as-you-read group devoted to bringing outdoor enthusiasts and alumni together to enjoy each other and our natural surroundings. We promote, organize, and notify people of hiking, camping, rock climbing, biking, fishing, and other back-country activities. We provide leadership in the community through various charities, community service initiatives, clean-ups and fund-raising. And lastly, we initiate random gatherings —some educational, some purely social.

The Inaugural Meeting

Our naugural chapter meeting for NOLS and WMI grads occured near Bangalore, India in 2003. The well-attended event kicked off with a traditional south Indian classical dance, followed by NOLS videos and India program updates.

New Members

Anyone interested in becoming a part of this group is welcome. Join us by attending an event and subscribing to the list services. You do not need to have participated in a NOLS course to reap the benefits of this organization.
