What is NOLS Chicago?

NOLS Chicago is a non-profit, developing-as-you-read, organization devoted to bringing all outdoor enthusiasts and alumni together to enjoy each other and our natural world. Specifically, we promote, organize, and notify people of hiking, camping, rock and ice climbing, skiing, biking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and other backcountry activities. This group applies its leadership talents to serving the community through various charities, community service initiatives, clean-ups, and fund-raising. And lastly, this group initiates random gatherings–some educational, some purely social. Stay tuned by subscribing to our two local list services.

Anyone interested in becoming a part of this group is welcome. Join us by emailing NOLS at alumni@nols.edu or subscribing to the Chicago list services. You do not need to have participated in a NOLS course to reap the benefits of this organization.
