Promote Your Event

We get requests for NOLS materials all the time from enthusiastic Alumni Reps who want to represent NOLS at summer opportunity fairs, campus wellness days, or just give a presentation to their school's outdoor club. We put together this page to help you come up with some ideas to tell folks about your presentation or event.

Create a Facebook Event
Let your friends know about your presentation by creating an event on Facebook! It's an easy way to keep folks informed and get the word out.

Advertise With Event Posters
We can create posters with the time and date of your event for you to post around campus or work. You can also download and print this one, and fill in the information yourself!

Sample E-mail
An e-mail is a great way to get information about your event out to a lot of people at once. Copy and paste this text, while adding your own details, to let folks know what you're up to--you can make it as personalized as you want!

Hello,

I wanted to let you know about an event I think you'll be interested in. On <INSERT DATE HERE> at <INSERT TIME HERE> I'll be <INSERT EVENT HERE>. I took a NOLS course <FEEL FREE TO ELABORATE HERE> and I want to let other people know about the school and the experiences they offer. I'll have catalogs, stickers and other swag with me, too!

The National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), founded in 1965 by legendary mountaineer Peter Petzoldt, annually offers courses worldwide to 10,500 students on five continents. The school teaches leadership skills as well as technical outdoor skills. Courses offered include rock climbing, sea kayaking, canoeing, white-water rafting, skiing, caving and horse packing--and courses range in length from 10 days to a full school year. College credit is available for NOLS courses, and has been accepted by more than 400 colleges and universities nationwide.
