More than 85% of NOLS students say they were referred by a NOLS graduate. Become an Alumni Rep and share your experience with others!

Share Your Story

One of the best ways to help is to volunteer to share your experience with prospective students. Remember how many questions you had before your course? What if you could have spoken with someone who had taken the same course within the last year or two? Now is your chance to share the things you wish you would have known before you went on your expedition.

We’ll contact you to have you speak with prospective students and parents (on a limited basis--we will not bombard you!) This may involve talking to students on the phone or being a part of a pre-course message group.

Host an Event

You can help promote and organize NOLS recruiting events and alumni events across the country and abroad. NOLS contacts our alumni reps by email or phone when an event is in their area. For upcoming event information, visit the NOLS Events page.

Some examples of events Alumni Reps attend include high school and college career days, environmental celebrations, summer opportunity fairs, visiting outdoor retail stores and study abroad fairs.
