It's already popular, it's happening and it's for NOLS grads. Take a look at http://alumni.nols.edu
Are you a NOLS graduate looking for work in the outdoor education/recreation industry? Are you an industry employer seeking qualified applicants for a guiding service, outdoor education program, seasonal camp, or retail, operation? If so, then read on.
In our never-ending goal to provide quality service to graduates, NOLS is pleased to announce an alliance with The Outdoor Network that provides a new on-line job service to NOLS alumni. Currently, more than 500 positions are advertised on NOLS JobNet. Openings range from ropes course facilitators to university professors, and from seasonal field instructors for college and university programs to sea kayak instructors and logistics coordinators.
With the service, NOLS graduates have the ability to sort, view, and peruse job openings throughout the industry. Alumni also have the ability to post and edit resumes. Prospective employers can then look over these resumes to find the perfect fit for their company or organization.
The Outdoor Network serves as a global forum for outdoor recreation and education professionals and organizations with affiliations in adventure travel, experiential and outdoor education, environmental education, outdoor recreation, equipment manufacturing and wilderness education.
NOLS JobNet is FREE to graduates searching for jobs. To use the service, simply visit http://alumni.nols.edu. Employers are charged a nominal fee for listing job openings on NOLS JobNet. A total of 15 percent of all fees generated by employers' job listings go directly to the Paul Petzoldt Lasting Legacy Scholarship.
