NOLS Video Production Internship

Job Description
The NOLS Video Production Interns will work closely with our Curriculum and Marketing departments to develop short educational and promotional videos to further the school's mission.
The interns will initially mentor with NOLS staff to become familiar with NOLS video equipment and hone basic production skills. The team of interns will then work more and more independently to produce and distribute additional video projects,
rotating through leadership and support roles.
Interns will be evaluated on the quality of their work and their follow-through with project completion. They will be expected to set personal development goals and develop an action plan to achieve them, while producing short videos for NOLS.
Administrative tasks include cataloging, backup, and other maintenance tasks.
Internship Goal
Upon successful completion each intern will be able to independently develop a video project from concept through production to posting on the web.
Position Location: NOLS International Headquarters, Lander, Wyoming
Position Length: 3 month position
Compensation: A stipend of $100/week is provided
Possible Video Projects:
- Branch welcome videos
- 'How-to' skills videos
- Companion videos for NOLS text books
- Environmental concepts

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- NOLS graduate preferred
- Possess creativity and passion for the NOLS mission
- Experience with non-linear video editing software (ie. Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Avid)
- Strong writing skills
- Videography
- Collaboration and cooperation to achieve group goals
- Experience with web-based video distribution tools (ie. YouTube, Facebook, MySpace etc.)
- Physically able to participate in strenuous backcountry travel while carrying a ridiculous amount of production equipment
- Display habits that show you care about attention to detail
- Most importantly, have a great attitude and be a team player
