JOB TITLE: NOLS Professional Training Operations and Marketing Internship
REPORTS TO: NOLS Professional Training Operations Manager
JOB OBJECTIVE:
To expose the candidate to a variety of skills needed to organize logistics for a department within a large wilderness-based experiential education school by providing a projected based internship for the Wilderness Risk Management Conference.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Displays motivation and initiative, Familiar with MS Word and Excel, Commitment to excellent customer service, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Ability to work well as a member of a team, Detail oriented, An understanding and passion for the NOLS mission, Ability to infuse energy and creativity into special projects, Ability to enjoy a dynamic office environment, Good sense of humor, NOLS grad preferred but not required.
3-month internship with a $100.00 per week stipend, Equipment rentals, College credit, Possibility to attend a NOLS Professional Training Leadership Seminar and/or Leave No Trace Master Educator’s Course.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
50% Assist in marketing and logistical support for the Wilderness Risk Management Conference.
20% Assist in logistical organization and follow through of NOLS Professional Training custom courses and Leave No Trace courses.
20% Assist in marketing efforts for NOLS custom courses and consulting.
5% Communicate with applicants via phone and email.
5% Assist with general administrative and clerical duties and other duties as assigned.

A criminal background check is required from all NOLS employees.
