JOB TITLE: NOLS Rocky Mountain Seasonal Logistics Assistant
REPORTS TO: NOLS Rocky Mountain Office Manager / Program Manager (co-supervisors)
JOB OBJECTIVE: The NOLS Rocky Mountain seasonal logistics assistant accomplishes a variety of tasks and projects in support of NOLS Rocky Mountain operations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a friendly, positive attitude. Needs to be focused, detail-oriented, dependable, work well in a team environment, adjust priorities quickly, and manage stress in a positive manner. Microsoft Word skills, and experience working with Excel spreadsheets are required. Typing speed of 50 wpm is needed. Skills needed include organization, ability to stay focused on tasks, close attention to detail and accuracy, neatness, and the ability to operate various office machines.
Physical demands of position: Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), frequent walking, and ability to stand for periods of time. Ability to read small print, and work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time. Good finger and hand dexterity needed.
LEADERSHIP OR SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Provide staff assistance and customer service.
FUNDS AND/OR PROPERTY: Primary responsibility for fishing license sales - prepare and maintain accurate sales records, submit daily and monthly sales reports. Pick up and charge operating supplies at local stores, as needed.
75% Provide prompt and friendly customer service and assistance to staff, instructors, students, and public. Prepare pre-sales fishing license rosters, input sales data into fishing license computer, compile daily and monthly sales reports, and maintain accurate sales records and files. Use information from NOLS database to merge and print course name labels. Log out and issue course permit cards. Update course activity board daily. Type returned course summaries. Process, distribute, and file returned course forms and paperwork. Set out graduation packets for returning course instructor teams.
20% Reception and telephone duties. Assist with designated projects in operations, program and logistics areas, as needed. If schedule permits, may assist with driving course evacuations, or various tasks in outfitting and rations departments.
5% Other projects, as assigned.

MOTOR VEHICLE CHECK: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age by the position start date and possess a valid driver’s license. Must have a clean driving history and be able to meet the criteria for NOLS vehicle insurance coverage.
