JOB TITLE: Rocky Mountain Seasonal Logistics Assistant
REPORTS TO: Rocky Mountain Office Manager / Program Manager (co-supervisors)
COMPENSATION: Full Time; Hourly; Seasonal—Summer Months (early-May through mid-September)
JOB OBJECTIVE: The Seasonal Logistics Assistant accomplishes a variety of tasks and projects in support of NOLS Rocky Mountain operations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Word processing skills, preferably Microsoft Word, 50 wpm minimum typing speed. Working knowledge of Excel. Skills necessary include organization, ability to stay focused on tasks, attention to detail, accuracy, neatness, and the ability to operate various office machines. Must have a friendly positive attitude, energetic, thorough, punctual, dependable, work as a team member, adjust priorities quickly, and effectively manage stress.
Physical demands of position: Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), frequent walking, and ability to stand for periods of time. Ability to read small print, and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Good finger and hand dexterity needed.
LEADERSHIP OR SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Provide staff assistance and customer service.
FUNDS AND/OR PROPERTY: Primary responsibility for fishing license sales, maintain accurate sales records, prepare and submit daily and monthly sales reports. Assist with check in and replenishment of drug kits, as needed. Pick up and charge operating supplies at local stores, as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
60% Reception and telephone duties. Provide customer service and assistance to staff, students, and public. Prepare fishing license sales rosters, computerized sales of licenses, compile daily and monthly sales reports. Print course name labels and issue permit cards. Daily course board updates. Type course summaries. Promptly process and distribute returning course paperwork. Set out course graduation packets for return dates.
35% Assist program and logistics areas with designated projects. Check in and replenish drug kits. Assist with various office tasks. Assist in Outfitting Department, when schedule permits.
5% Other projects, as assigned.
